[lfs-support] Broken toolchain

After chrooting I end up with a broken toolchain,  this happens in chapter 6.7 linux api headers. I get a "gcc file not found,"  ERROR, I have tried the whole procedure from the beginning several times but I get always the same error, so I thind I must check the compilation of the toolchain from the first beginning, at gcc pass 1, so now my question: how to check gcc pass 1, to be sure thatÀs not broken first?
I am gratefull if I get some help.
